Jordyn Woods and Karl-Anthony Towns’ Malibu Wedding
As featured in Vogue, Jordyn Woods and Karl-Anthony Towns celebrated their August 15th wedding in Malibu. Woods, a model and entrepreneur, and Towns, a New York Knicks star, brought together close family and friends for the celebration. Planned by Mindy Weiss, the celebration paired timeless white details with lush green accents, romantic fabrics, and layers of lace. The result was an effortlessly elegant celebration—and the ultimate Malibu wedding inspiration.
The wedding weekend began with an intimate rehearsal dinner featuring our Oatmeal Dining Aspen Chairs. Their warm, neutral finish complemented the sophisticated setting while keeping the focus on the couple and their guests.
For the ceremony, Malibu’s ocean views created a breathtaking backdrop. Guests dressed in all black contrasted beautifully against the all-white ceremony design. We lined the aisle with our Garden Chairs and covered the chair backs with custom white sheer fabric. As the ocean breeze moved through the fabric, it created a soft, almost floating effect along the aisle. At the altar, Jordyn and Karl-Anthony exchanged vows beneath a custom altar featuring delicate lace overlay details, sewn by our in-house sewing department. The result felt romantic, and perfectly at home against the California coastline.
After the ceremony, guests moved into cocktail hour around our Chicago Bar, with Aspen Sofas, Coffee Tables, and Chairs creating inviting spaces to lounge and celebrate. The relaxed California setting offered the perfect transition before guests entered the reception for the evening’s biggest transformation.
The reception took place inside a glass tent transformed with more than 3,000 yards of fabric (check out the transformation). Working closely with the wedding planner, we draped the venue with approximately 1,700 yards of white lace and 1,300 yards of satin. The combination created layers of texture and movement throughout the space while complementing Jordyn’s second wedding dress, which also featured lace.
Our Avignon and Versailles Chandeliers completed the reception design. Crystal chandeliers illuminated the main room, while Avignon Chandeliers created a distinct atmosphere in the cake-cutting space. Their glow reflected beautifully against the layers of lace and satin, giving each room its own personality.
Jordyn Woods and Karl-Anthony Towns’ Malibu wedding proves that the most memorable wedding designs come from carrying a beautiful idea throughout the entire celebration. Here, lace moved beyond the fashion and into the environment—from the custom altar to the dramatic reception draping. Sheer fabrics added movement, satin added dimension, and crystal chandeliers brought everything together with a romantic glow.
