A Tennis-Inspired Welcome Party in Palm Springs That Served Every Detail

Set in one of tennis’ most iconic destinations, Palm Springs was the perfect backdrop for a tennis-inspired welcome party to kick off the wedding weekend. From the very beginning, every element celebrated the iconic sport. Custom bars, custom décor, and an elegant dinner beneath the desert sky created a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Planned and Designed by Lynden Lane, the celebration took place at the iconic Parker Hotel in Palm Springs. Naturally, the venue made the theme even more meaningful. Upon arrival, guests were greeted by a custom floor designed to resemble a tennis court. 

After much thought and multiple paint samples, the perfect shade of green was found. The color palette felt fresh, layered, and sophisticated. More importantly, every thoughtful detail worked together to create a truly unforgettable tennis-inspired welcome party.

The custom bars and decor was set by our team in collaboration with Lynden Lane. The party featured a total of six custom bars. The impressive 34-foot main bar showcased a custom-painted trompe-l’œil white marble countertop that looked just like real marble, paired with a warm wood bar back. Vintage-inspired tennis rackets completed the design and added a timeless, elevated touch.

Meanwhile, guests enjoyed several interactive food and beverage stations throughout the venue. These included Milk & Cookies, The Shrimp Society, Jane & Riley’s Cheese Shop, and a charming Stitch Club Bar. There, guests could take home personalized keepsakes to remember the occasion. The custom booths included Frosted Ribbed Pendants, with a soft, ambient glow as the Palm Springs sun began to set.

In addition to the custom bars, comfortable lounge seating invited guests to relax throughout the evening. Our Santa Barbara Linen Sofas and Club Chairs created stylish gathering spaces across the venue. After dinner, these cozy seating areas were perfect to connect in and enjoy the night. 

Ultimately, this tennis-inspired welcome party delivered an iconic celebration unlike anything else. As the opening night of the wedding weekend, it gave every guest an unforgettable experience.
