Custom Event Design for a Blue Bat Mitzvah
Step into a world of blue at The Maybourne Beverly Hills, where we transformed the ballroom into a sophisticated yet playful setting for an unforgettable Bat Mitzvah celebration. Planned by Orange and Rose, this blue-and-white celebration was filled with custom details designed to surprise and delight the Mitzvah girl and her guests.
Working closely with the planning team, we brought the vision to life with rich blue velvet draping, crisp white accents, custom-built bars, floral food stations, and a statement-making silver bow. Every element was thoughtfully designed to create a cohesive atmosphere that felt luxurious, youthful, and full of personality.

Draping
We transformed the ballroom with more than 400 feet of blue velvet draping, creating an instantly dramatic backdrop while adding warmth and dimension to the space.
For the stage backdrop, we leaned into the metallic silver details with an oversized custom silver bow. We paired it with the Bat Mitzvah girl’s first initial, M, in a custom blue neon for a fun and personalized statement.
Custom Bars & Reception Details
In the reception area, we created custom bars and matching barbacks featuring a light blue stamped decal pattern, chosen by the planners. We also incorporated our curved New York Bar with coordinating wallpaper, giving the bar area a polished and cohesive look.
Next, we designed four custom food stations, each featuring hand-sewn awnings from our sewing team and hand-painted signage from our artist. Blue floral prints and blue velvet sconces brought the mitzvah decor to life while creating a warm glow throughout the space.
Event Furniture details
We couldn’t forget the merch! We created a custom merch station framed by oversized white dome awnings with blue piping. The guest of honor had her favorite Jellycat plushies as gifts.
We continued the blue color story through the furniture, pairing our Jaipur Blue linen Sofa with Blue Bruges coffee tables, custom painted to match the decor. For dining, we used our Las Vegas dining tables with Buenos Aires barstools in blue velvet.
From the dramatic blue draping to the custom fabrication and playful guest experiences, every element worked together to create a celebration that felt completely personal.
