Luxury Event Design and Decor Trends for 2025
2025 is almost here and with it, 365 days filled with new luxury event design and decor! When a new year approaches, Revelry Event Designers is always on the lookout for what will be trending in 2025. Whether it’s certain color palettes, themes, styles, fabric, or decor- we are always scrolling social media for what’s popular and trending, to get inspiration from others and create trends ourselves!
After helping bring over 1,000 luxury weddings and events to life in 2024, here are the hottest luxury event design and decor trends we predict will take center stage in 2025:
1. Modern Jewel Tones
For 2025, jewel tones are getting a modern, elevated twist with warmer, earthier hues. Think rich amber, mustard yellow, deep terracotta, and refined blush pink—tones that bring warmth, elegance, and sophistication to any event design.
These modern jewel tones are perfect for creating an inviting yet luxurious atmosphere. Paired with natural elements like wood, textured linens, and soft candlelight, they strike the perfect balance between bold and understated.
Recently, we designed a luxury event called A Night at Revelry, where we were so excited to incorporate jewel tones for an upscale French bistro vibe. The design featured channeled booths, tufted panels, amber pendants, mustard draping, and lots and lots of candles—bringing warmth and depth to the space while maintaining a sense of elevated sophistication.

2. Statement Bars
Bars are no longer just a functional piece—they can be the event showstoppers. The place to socialize in the middle of the party. And in 2025, they are leveling up to be bigger and bolder than ever.
Carousel and 360-degree bars have always been popular with our event planner clients. But lately, our carpentry team has taken on some custom bar projects, that continue to reach new heights. Think custom-built bars with jaw-dropping dimensions like a double-tiered carousel or a custom-painted and created one-of-a-kind whimsical piece styled to match the event theme.
One of our favorites to create this year was this Alice and Wonderland inspired bar and barback for Paris Hilton’s son’s birthday. And fun fact, the clocks on the bar front actually ticked!
3. Fun Prop Displays
Unique prop displays are taking over luxury event design—and social media. Case in point: this poppin’ off popcorn bar we designed for a ranch wedding in San Juan Capistrano. The buckets of popcorn were created by our carpentry team then handed off to our painting department for custom painting to make the kernels look real. Then add scoops to the bar and voila! The perfect party statement piece.

4. Draped Furniture
Three words: Draped fabric furniture. And I know what you’re thinking. We’ve been covering furniture with fabric since the 1990s, this isn’t a revolutionary concept.
While creating custom soft goods like chair cushions and covers has definitely been on trend for a minute, we’re talking custom-cut pieces of luxury fabric draped over furniture and decor to create a romantic, modern effect. It’s easy to throw a sheet over some furniture but it takes experience and draping know-how to have it look luxurious and expensive.
Our best example of this is for the wedding we recently designed with Mindy Weiss for Tania Sarin. The bride wanted this effect. Our fabric department hand-cut ivory linen which our sewing and soft goods department perfected. We used that fabric to cover all the furniture and decor transforming a regular fold up table into an ethereal piece of art.
5. Luxury Awnings
Who says outdoor events can’t be glamorous? Awnings are no longer just practical—they’re becoming design statements in their own right. Whether it’s custom lettering, fabric choices, or painted details, awnings bring shade and style in equal measure. We created a lot of awnings in 2024, some for ambiance, some for entrances, and some that actually functioned as awnings and provided shade for guests! No matter where you place it, an awning crafted to complement your theme and color palette can really make a difference in your event’s aesthetic.
We built an entire French city for a welcome party at the Ojai Valley Inn. Each panel served as a different storefront and each had their own custom awning. This pink dome awning against this purple with gold accents is just magical!
6. Custom Panels
We love versatility! Which makes arches and panels a go-to for making your space special. We’re talking walls, ceilings, decor, you can pretty much place these anywhere to make a space seem new. What type of panels will we see in the new year? Channeled, moulding, rattan, lattice and velvet are definitely popular and stepping into the spotlight. This wedding with Ked and Co used our panels to feature two stage backdrop designs. One style gorgeous molded wood panels with ivory draping for the reception, then for the after-party, payette panels in sparkly silver.
7. Ambient Table Lighting
Small, customized lamps are the new must-have for any table. These restaurant-inspired fixtures not only provide a warm, intimate glow but also serve as an opportunity for personalization, from hand-painted shades to monogrammed bases.
For the Goldie Hawn MindUp Foundation’s 20th Anniversary Party, we loved creating custom lampshades with animal print for each table. They matched the custom accent pillows, complemented the pink and red color palette, and looked divine paired with our Nice Collection Mauve Velvet Banquettes.
8. Dramatic Drapery
2025 weddings are embracing the grandeur of European romance, blending Renaissance-inspired opulence with modern minimalism. Picture dramatic drapery cascading from ceilings, creating immersive spaces rich in texture and elegance. These flowing fabrics, combined with avant-garde design elements like sculptural installations and monochromatic palettes, transform venues into curated works of art. Chandeliers draped with chiffon, rich textiles, and layered fabric that envelopes guests in a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere that feels both timeless and fresh.

These are just a few of the luxury event design and decor trends we look forward to seeing more of in 2025. Our team hopes you have a wonderful holiday season and we look forward to creating more magic for you in 2025!
