Elle Magazine: Matthew and Stephen’s Wedding

Featured in Elle Magazine, the Palm Desert wedding of Matthew and Stephen was a stunning showcase of exquisite event design and the result of a year-long collaboration with Geller Events and Mark’s Garden.

This fun-filled weekend began with an enchanting outdoor rehearsal dinner at La Quinta Resort. Guests enjoyed the elegant atmosphere and warm weather, lit by our moon grass pendant lamps. Dinner took place on our new St. Lucia Wood Dining Tables with matching whitewash dining chairs from our Siena Collection, while cocktails were served from our Sedona marble bar.

The celebration continued with a welcome party at Zenyara’s man-made beach, transforming the venue into an unexpected island oasis where guests relaxed with hibiscus margaritas in custom-designed cabanas with rope detailing.

The main ceremony was a poignant moment, with guests seated on cane back dining chairs from our Bali Collection, and both grooms making grand entrances. Following the heartfelt vows, the breaking of two glasses to George Michael’s “Freedom” marked their union.

After the “I do’s”, the festivities moved into a cocktail hour and reception where guests were greeted at our Nice Light Up Bar, setting the tone for a spectacular dinner. The reception tent was lit by our gorgeous Hollywood Gold Cage Chandeliers and featured a black custom pleated ceiling treatment draped by our team to match the Nice Collection Black Velvet Booths. Custom-painted gold gilded wood panels with sconces surrounded the tent, creating an entirely fresh space. The decor included gold oversized palm trees, custom fabric treatments, and a bar with gold banana leaf designs inspired by Delilah at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas.

After dinner, guests entered an entirely new space for cocktails and dancing, featuring an incredibly cool custom black and white stripe ceiling treatment, with teal velvet perimeter draping, and custom swag stage backdrop. Surrounding the dance floor was our Boston DJ booth, Boston Bar and Bali Barback, all tailor-made with gold trim and teal paint to match the beautiful draping. Teal ottoman pods, antique gold furniture, and modern lounge furniture allowed guests to kick up their feet in comfort.

Guests made their way through the fully draped gold LED tunnel in between cocktails and the after party, offering two different party vibes. The after party featured custom emerald green velvet peak walls with tassels, stage covers, and green velvet furniture, lit by our large Moscow gold floor lamps. This incredible lighting and decor set the stage for a night of joyful celebration and an exclusive Broadway performance.
