Last fall we had the pleasure of working with Elite OC Productions, a full service event production company that specializes in innovative design and concepts, venue transformation, and event management, on the UCI Mind’s Time of Your Life Gala.

From Elite OC Productions:

UCI MIND’s Time of Your Life gala, themed “Toast to the Holidays – Then and Now.” Held at The Hangar at the Orange County Fairgrounds, the nearly 500 guests were introduced hourly to a different holiday, as the venue served as the stage for a 180-degree projection of visual video experiences, including Valentine’s Day, Halloween and Thanksgiving, Holidays at The Lodge, and a New Year’s Eve countdown in the Big Apple. Seated in white suede lounges, as in a private club, guests were captivated by the panorama visual experience, an Orange County first.

UCI-Mind-2The holidays were not only revealed on the wrap-around screen but also in beautifully orchestrated vignettes, which included a plethora of themed silent auction items.  For Valentine’s Day, guests sampled champagne, chocolates and an assortment of desserts, while Thanksgiving was a beautifully decorated holiday table with a sideboard filled with mini chicken pot pies and pumpkin cones. Halloween had its place too with candle-lit jack o’lanterns and two scarecrow stiltwalkers, who danced and interfaced with guests. The Holidays at the Lodge sequence took guests to a cozy lodge setting, complete with a raging fireplace fire and a stunningly decorated Christmas tree. Models wearing furs and warm, snuggly outerwear from MaxMara completed the comfy scene, while on stage a quartet of Rockette-type Santa dancers did their famous high kicks and a quintet of carolers sang songs of the season. The New Year’s countdown came complete with balloons, confetti, party hats, and cabaret entertainment by talented singers and dancers.

Net proceeds of $100,000 supported Alzheimer’s research for memory impairments and neurological disorders at the UC Irvine MIND Institute, Orange County’s only state and federal-designated research and clinical assessment center.
