The Art of Transformation, Part 5: Fabric Treatments

December 2, 2011 6:11 pm Published by The Revelry Team Leave your thoughts

Fabric stitched it’s way into my life back in the days when I was a fashion designer and it has played an integral role every since. I wrap my environments in fabric the same way I wrapped women in fabric so many years ago. But life is better now. Tents and ballrooms never complain about the color or the fit. Fabric treatments are the cornerstone of my business and are a featured element in a vast majority of my designs. The type and style of treatments I employ are as unique as the parties that inspire them. Sometimes the treatment is a lush, frilly, and very feminine look, such as that of Kate Beckinsale‘s wedding on the lawn at Hotel... Read More

Spooky Soiree at the Beverly Wilshire

November 21, 2011 8:30 am Published by The Revelry Team Leave your thoughts

This very spooky Steven Petrarca party at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel was a lot of fun to help create. We decorated using our brown lounge furniture and created a dark and cozy lounge complete with red chandeliers and brown chiffon draped on the ceiling. The rooftop deck was edgy, fun and comfortable and included lots of Revelry seating, more chandeliers and mirrored tables. They even projected old scary movies onto a brick wall! Thanks Marianne Lozano Photography for these frightening photos! Chandeliers: Part 1

September 21, 2011 5:14 pm Published by The Revelry Team Leave your thoughts

A beautiful chandelier can be the design focal point of a beautiful room! We love chandeliers and will be doing a series of blog posts to show off our vast inventory here at Revelry. To set the mood, let’s start of with a history of chandeliers. The first candle chandeliers were introduced in medieval times. They were simple fixtures, made of wood on which candles balanced. (Fire hazard!). During the 15th century, other designs began to surface, including ring and crown designs, but these chandeliers were still only found in the homes of the nobility or upper class. The chandelier was a symbol of luxury and status. In the early 18th century, more ornate chandeliers were being designed with long,... Read More

Julie and Paul’s Wedding

September 16, 2011 8:15 pm Published by The Revelry Team Leave your thoughts

Julie and Paul’s wedding at Pelican Hill was absolutely spectacular! Their style and color scheme of red, cream and black is SO Revelry and we loved working on this beautiful Mindy Weiss wedding. The ceremony was all white-on-white and contained so many chic elements, like three different chair cover styles, Revelry’s crystal lamps placed on modern acrylic bases, white fabric draped from the gazebo, hand-made Magnolia trees and lots and lots of white orchids, roses and hydrangeas by Marks Garden. Julie wore a strapless Ines Di Santo gown and looked amazing! After the ceremony, the guests moved inside for a reception featuring a jazz quartet and red and black furniture designs by Revelry, including huge, ornate black glossy mirrors and... Read More

Maya and Brian’s wedding guests traveled to Los Angeles from all over the country and Europe to celebrate their big day. They wanted to provide their guests with an amazing Moroccan rehearsal dinner to welcome their loved ones who had come from so far away. The vivid purple, red and blue color scheme and modern Moroccan look was perfect for the SLS Hotel. The stage was designed for the traditional Henna, and we got to show off our furniture, mirrored tables and star chandeliers!
