Under the Sea

An amazing team of artists came together to design a three-themed opulent birthday party at a private estate in Beverly Hills. For night one Sonia Sharma Event and Revelry Event Design designed the tent around our “Under The Sea” theme and the second night the space was transformed into a “Chocolate Fantasy”.  The Childrens area was designed as a Candy Land Playground.

COCKTAIL: Guests were greeted with two floral starfish at the entrance. Caviar was set out on an ice bar with kissing starfish. The existing gazebo was draped in teal and purple chiffon and tied back with colorful arrangements for cocktails and caviar. Revelry designed beautiful plaster characters placed around the gazebo.
On the lawn, the Empty Vase designed three starfish sculptures in different colors on a stand with matching florals at the base. They were completed covered with florals and served as an amazing entrance to the event.
POOL ENTERTAINMENT: Entering the pool area, there were two 14-foot palm trees with trunks covered with cheerful and bright colored florals. The trees were brought in with the palm fronds individually added. Living fountains were staged in the pool atop of floating disks with mermaid performers from E+ Entertainment. The Empty Vase covered the perimeter of the pool with flowers that were similar to the palm tree trunks.
DINNER: The entire tented ballroom was lit by Images by Lighting and draped by Revelry Event Designers in aqua blue with blue dance flooring.  Revelry’s ceiling fabric installation resembled underwater foliage, cut from lightweight fabrics the breeze moved the fabric as if underwater.  The Tuxedo Shade Chandeliers were painted a beautiful shade of blue, and hung in groupings of three throughout the tented structure.
Two more 9-foot tall floral seahorses on 4-foot tall individually glued sea shell covered pedestals were placed at the entrance of the tent with two more seahorses were flanking the stage. Inside the tent was a 14-foot jellyfish tank.  A 120′ x 20′ video screen displayed an underwater scene and served as the graphic interface for a custom gaming experience.  Additional wall treatments included hard wall and a bar with mirrored port holes.
Guests were seated at 10 long tables extending out from the circular dance floor. We brought in the color with Empty Vase’s fun floral arrangements and installations. Tall centerpieces were staggered on each of the 10 the tables to be more visually pleasing. The custom tablecloths were designed with a scalloped edge that had seed pearls sewn into the trim. Runners of seashells and candles and more gorgeous florals were laid across the table. The chairs covers were also custom and sewn with iridescent blue fabrics.
In the center of the room Sonia Sharma Events and their team designed a spectacular Octopus shaped design on the blue dancefloor. Images by Lighting lighting design brought the octopus to life with realistic and animated patterns.
Below the buffet and dessert bar were kissing floral seahorses encased in plexiglas boxes.
