Revelry got to help design the BET Awards pre-party dinner held at the Book Bindery in Culver City; a venue chosen for it’s raw space and originality. The party by Andre Wells was boldly artistic and turned out to be a smash hit!
Around 380 guests ate dinner and were properly entertained; surrounded by fabulous decor in black and white. Revelry created all of the graffiti on the walls and bold pop-culture phrases; as well as all of the draping.
The handwritten notes in glow-in-the-dark chalk on the hallway and bathroom walls were also a unique idea for a trendy event. Chalk sticks were placed on tables for guests to get creative and write their own messages for everyone to read.
And on an entertainment tip, what’s more important than good music at a BET Awards party? Guests enjoyed the sound stylings of DJ Lowdown Loretta Brown, a.k.a. The Queen of Neo-Soul, Erykah Badu, on the one’s and two’s for dinner. DJ D-Nice spun for arrivals and cocktails. Bilal and Cameo also performed at dinner, with the always-entertaining Anthony Anderson serving as host for the evening.
