The Bellagio is an extraordinary and elegant hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. Everything in and around the Bellagio is grand and beautiful, from the tree-lined pathway and eight-acre lake of it’s entrance, to the amazing Fountains of Bellagio; you will be impressed every step of the way. An incredible glass floral chandelier by Dale Chihuly, called Fiori di Como, hangs in the lobby from the ceiling. The Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens are always displaying seasonal fresh flowers and trees, and this time of year, you will see beautiful holiday decorations. You’ll find all types of fine dining at the Bellagio from casual to fine and they even have their own World Pastry Champion, Chef Jean-Philippe Maury! If you’re... Read More

Spooky Soiree at the Beverly Wilshire

November 21, 2011 8:30 am Published by The Revelry Team Leave your thoughts

This very spooky Steven Petrarca party at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel was a lot of fun to help create. We decorated using our brown lounge furniture and created a dark and cozy lounge complete with red chandeliers and brown chiffon draped on the ceiling. The rooftop deck was edgy, fun and comfortable and included lots of Revelry seating, more chandeliers and mirrored tables. They even projected old scary movies onto a brick wall! Thanks Marianne Lozano Photography for these frightening photos! The Art of Transformation: Part 4, Lighting

November 18, 2011 6:42 pm Published by The Revelry Team Leave your thoughts

Throwing a party without lighting is like baking a cake with no frosting on it. Lighting is an essential element in event design. It highlights the design and brings it to life while also creating a mood for the event. From a lighting perspective, the home environment presents it’s own set of challenges. Quite often overhead lighting is garish and unflattering. Simply leaving the light off doesn’t make it go away. Why not purchase a beautiful new shade and add colored bulbs (amber is always a good choice), or install a dimmer and stretch a simple chiffon scarf over the shade and attach it to the ceiling with tacks? Don’t think your current collection of lamps fit in with the... Read More

The ISES Meet the Masters dinner at the Biltmore in downtown Los Angeles on Monday night was a huge success! Our very own, Edgar Zamora was a master, and he had a great time, met some new people and offered up his advice on how to succeed in this business. For those of you who are not familiar with ISES (The International Special Events Society), it’s a professional club that fosters enlightened performance through education while promoting ethical conduct. ISES works to join professionals to focus on the “event as a whole” rather than it’s individual parts and it’s gorwn to involve over 7,000 members active in 42 chapters throughout the world. It’s a great way to network and grow... Read More

The Art of Transformation: Part 3, Seating

Let’s talk about my favorite: the lounge, where guests can relax and linger over a drink and conversation. I’m going to show you how to create a fabulous lounge for your next party at home. We’ve all heard the expression “Mi casa es su casa. My house is your house,” but few people in their right mind stroll around spouting “me cama es su cama,” or “my bed is your bed.” I can, however, think of one instance where it might not be so inappropriate. The next time you’re hosting a party with a lounge, why not borrow your bed (double or larger) for the evening. Place the box spring and mattress (leave the frame in the bedroom) in the... We’ve got professional photos to share with you of Melina and Patrick’s beautiful wedding! These photos by Bob and Dawn Davis are stunning! Melina and Patrick were married at the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay hotel on the beautiful Northern California coast. The Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay is a top-notch golf course and spa resort hotel 20 miles southwest of San Francisco. The resort offers cottages as well as lovely rooms in the main building that are reminiscent of old Scotland. The ceremony was held on the Gazebo Lawn and our Revelry artisans draped lots of fabric throughout the gazebo and hung our beautiful chandelier. The gazebo sits on an ocean bluff, overlooking miles of gorgeous coastline. The ceremony was all... Read More

Brittany and Derrick’s Pelican Hill Wedding

November 7, 2011 6:31 pm Published by The Revelry Team Leave your thoughts

This over-the-top wedding at the beautiful Pelican Hill Resort was filled with lush design elements, like Revelry’s own Paper Flower Wall, a special room designed just for the cake, an intricate floral design of rose petals for the aisle and the top of the rotunda. No detail was overlooked in this amazing wedding! We draped our gorgeous fabric and hung our chandeliers in the rotunda and Nisie’s Enchanted Florist hung beautiful roses. We created a great after hour lounge in La Capella with our Diamond Coffee Tables and lounge furniture.                                   Venue: Pelican Hill Wedding Coordinator: Kathy Jo Peterson Furniture and Flower Wall: Revelry...
